1. Fill in the card first
Complete the blood card details before adding blood, and write your email address on the back.
2. Take a Picture of Your Barcode for Future Reference
Take a clear picture of your barcode. You’ll need this for completing the health survey
in step 15 to ensure accurate tracking of your sample.
3. Prepare for optimal blood flow.
Before collecting a blood sample, it's crucial to ensure that your blood flow is at its peak.
4. Over- hydrate
About 20–25 minutes before, drink 2 big glasses of water to help improve blood flow.
5. Warm up your hands
Run your hand(s) under warm water for 30–60 seconds to get the blood flowing.
6. Jog on the spot
Jog on the spot until your heart rate is really high to get circulation moving (right before you prick).
7. Windmill your arm
Windmill your arm like you’re bowling a cricket ball at the same time as you jog on
the spot to get the blood to the extremities of the hand.
